Thomas Smith

Chief Development Officer

Tom Smith brings to Ogin a track record of building successful businesses with both early stage and large established energy companies. He joined Ogin in 2010, serving as the Chief Development Officer and responsible for commercializing Ogin’s wind turbines, which includes leading Ogin’s wholly-owned wind project development company, New Dimension Energy Company.

 

Early in his career, Tom was one of the principal architects of the successful early independent power pioneers, J. Makowski Company, and its successor company, InterGen. Tom later joined Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG), where he served as President of PSEG Americas, COO of PSEG Global and President of PSEG Fossil. Tom earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and his Master’s in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.
