New Zealand Superannuation Fund

The New Zealand Superannuation Fund (NZSF) invests money, on behalf of the New Zealand Government, to help pay for the increased cost of superannuation entitlements in the future. A long-term, growth-oriented investor, the Fund has more than $24 billion in assets, including $3.6 billion invested in New Zealand. NZSF believe that responsible asset owners who exercise best-practice portfolio management should have concern for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. They also believe that by improving ESG performance, companies can improve their long-term financial performance.
